Producer Notes: Indulge in the refined excellence of Ulysse Collin, a distinguished Champagne house rooted in the village of Congy. With a heritage dating back to 1812, the Collin family's modern venture began in 2003 when Olivier Collin reclaimed ancestral vineyards, marking the inception of their exclusive grower operation. The meticulous approach involves vinifying first and second pressings separately, influenced by Collin's apprenticeship with the legendary Anselme Selosse. The Les Enfers cuvée, a Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut from the 2015 base, epitomizes the family's commitment to excellence.
Critics Reviews:
98/100 by Robert Parker The Wine Advocate
94/100 by Antonio Galloni - Vinous "The NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Enfers (2015 base) is a gorgeous wine. Rich and resonant, the 2015 possesses terrific depth, that richness accentuated by the 48 months this edition spent on its lees. Varietal Chardonnay aromas and flavors build in an ample, vinous Champagne. Time in the glass brings out pretty floral, mineral and graphite accents to round things out. The Enfers conveys tremendous richness and yet retains so much transparency. Its a remarkable Champagne that beautifully encapsulates Olivier Collin's style."
