With headquarters in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine Prieuré Roch is a relatively new producer, formed in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch. Henry, who sadly passed away in 2018, was the nephew of Lalou-Bize Leroy and also the co-director â€?alongside Aubert de Villaine â€?of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992 until his untimely death. Today, the estate covers approximately 16 hectares of vines â€?of which 12 are in the Côte de Nuits â€?and its winemaking philosophy is built upon an organic approach to viticulture. The result are wines that are typically very aromatic, with remarkable acidity and ripe, complex fruits. This release is the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Vieilles Vignes, made from the oldest vines of Clos des Corvées.
