Gamay is the red variety from the Beaujolais region in France. Relatively new to the Macedon Ranges, this vintage displays savoury red fruit, a touch of pepper and soft tannins with lovely length of flavour.
"Abundant dark cherries and spice on the nose, the aromas alone indicate this is a deep, brooding Pinot. The palate confirms this, with plums, earth and dried herbs each having a say. This is such an enticing wine, with so much character." - Wine House
"A full, well-structured wine, showing dark fruit characteristics.
Wholly estate and grown, made and bottled. Hand picked on 18 March 2021. Pinot Noir clones MV6, D5V12, 777, 115, and 114. A low cropping year with only 1.2 tonne per acre average yield." - Granite Hills
