2021 Henschke Marble Angel Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

A profound crimson color accompanied by ruby tints. The fragrance is elevated, featuring dark bramble and black cherry scents intertwined with delicate hints of cedar, crushed fresh herbs, bay leaf, violets, and sandalwood. The palate is both intense and intricate, showcasing flavors of cherry, blackcurrant, cassis, savory herbs, and bay leaf, all balanced impeccably. This wine boasts excellent length and is complemented by fine-grained tannins.

Vintage 

The 2021 vintage proved to be exceptional. Winter rainfall, though average, preceded minor frost incidents in late September, followed by spring showers in early October. Budburst was uniform, resulting in good fruitfulness, although late November heat bursts impacted fruit set. Despite some canopy damage from strong winds in early December, the fruit remained unaffected by disease. January saw mild and dry conditions, with a brief heat wave during veraison in late January, followed by rainfall in early February. Leading up to the vintage and during ripening, the weather remained cool, cloudy, and dry, resulting in fruit with balanced acidity and exceptional color and flavor development.
