Barringwood vineyard is located on a steep north facing slope overlooking the Don Valley in Tasmania's central North. Established in 1993 the vineyard rises to an elevation of 280m and has one of the longest growing seasons in Tasmania giving their wines delicacy, elegance and immense complexity as well as a distinct backbone of cool climate acidity.
Bright plum, with pinking edges. The wine has a nose of cherries and violets with a dusting of vanilla gives way to earthy undertones. Palate is light-bodied. It opens up with bright fruit and mellows to savoury spicy characters. Match it with beef carpaccio, braised wagyu, squab, venison or aged Basque style cheeses.
