2023 Dhillon Col Mountain Grenache 750ml

We're having a great time exploring and crafting Grenache, often considered a warm climate Pinot! The rocky, steep Col Mountain vineyard in central Heathcote provides an excellent setting for this impressive variety. Similar to our Pinot Noir, the wine is made with comparable ripeness levels. Although it typically has a bit more color and weight, it remains fresh and medium-bodied. The 2023 vintage boasts a seductive array of aromas, including pomegranate, rhubarb, and raspberry, with a notable perfume. The palate is smooth and energetic, with a medium-weight presence and a lovely balance. Pippy tannins drive the length in a tight, flowing manner. This is our fourth vintage of Grenache, and it consistently features a hallmark chalky tannin. Delicious.
