Emily's Paddock spans three hectares of Shiraz, co-planted with around five percent Cabernet Franc, yielding an average of two tonnes per hectare. Established in 1975/76, these own-rooted vines grow on basaltic Cambrian-period rock at 320 meters altitude. Reliant solely on natural rainfall, the dry-grown vines produce intensely concentrated fruit, a hallmark of the winery. This wine showcases richness and complexity, with layers of flint, spices, mint, toasty oak, and deep black and blue fruits. Its smooth, velvety texture leads to a lingering finish. Enjoy it now or let it mature gracefully over time.
